Now that the dust of the annual Christmas Fair has settled a little (let’s not even think about Christmas itself, please), and now that any craftspeople who do other festive fairs or supply local shops have just about done the last one and/or delivered their last consignment, it’s time for a look back a couple of weeks.
The weather the last weekend of November was horrible – though, in retrospect, it was much worse the following weekend, with added flooding. But that didn’t deter anyone, it seemed: we were busy from the start, and so were the lovely ladies from the local Cancer Research group, who did the teas.
There was something for everybody, from bird tables in driftwood to bath foam with lavender and saffron:
And we had visitors from everywhere too, from almost next door to some travellers who came from Anchorage. That’s Anchorage, Alaska – yes, really – and they’d found out about the Fair from our Facebook page.
If you don’t already follow us on Facebook or on Twitter, you’ll find links above, on the header. And updates on this website will always be cross-posted on FB. The site will keep going throughout the year, focusing on local arts and crafts (and the artists and craftspeople), and on any related issues and interesting events.
Anyway, here are some photographs from the weekend, hopefully representing the Fair as a whole. Click on an image for a slideshow – depending on what device you are using, that is.
Thank you to all the craftspeople, the visitors, the customers, the tea makers, all who support the Harlech Fair – everyone, really. And Happy Christmas to everyone / Nadolig Llawen i bawb!
