Several years ago, a group of craftspeople got together and decided to run their own annual craft fair in Harlech, a beautiful town in Snowdonia, on the shore of Cardigan Bay.
It’s traditionally held on the last weekend of November each year, in the Memorial Hall in Harlech, and runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Fair provides a great showcase for the many talented craftspeople and artists in the area to show people what they are doing in their studios, workrooms and sheds during the rest of the year. Of course, it’s also a great opportunity for people to buy handmade items (and cake: a local charity – changing each year – does teas and cakes).
The Christmas Fair has gone from strength to strength, and has now expanded to include a biennial Fibre and Fabric Fair held in the summer; there is one this year, 2018, on the weekend of 26/27 May. There are also many other crafty things happening in Harlech during the summer, from art shows to a pop-up craft market in the Old Library. In addition, some of the craftspeople and artists open their studios during September as part of the annual Helfa Gelf.
Do you have any information of the fair for December 2021 please and are there any tables left for selling locally made glass jewellery please?
