The hedges are still full of blackberries and – amazingly – it’s quite warm. But in studios and workrooms, sheds and spare rooms, craftspeople and artists are working away, sorting out fabric, squeezing wool,
assessing their stock of wood, working out what paintings need mounting, sorting out jewellery findings, firing up sewing machines and spinning wheels and pans and… and…
And that’s because it’s not long – really – until the Christmas Craft Fair.
