Knitted together

Angharad (from Knit one… in Dolgellau) and Kate (Criafol) will be contributing a knitted element to the Fibre and Fabric Fair on Saturday and Sunday.

And they are going to run a Knitting Hospital – possibly where the Knit Nurse (sorry) works – to help sort out any thorny knitting issues, help with any techniques

(this is ‘magic loop’) or get you started if you’re keen to knit and have never tried. They’ll be doing some basic spinning as well, so everyone can have a go at that too. There’ll be a few cleaned fleeces on their stand as well, from local sheep.

Knitted items will be available, from baby bootees and felted yarn bowls to lace shawls and garments, and they’re also selling their own kits – including one for this baby blanket:

And there’ll be a chance to have a look at sketchbooks and see the process of working out a knitting pattern, or colouring a Fair Isle.

All in Harlech’s Memorial Hall this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 27 May, from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
